Viridiana Sanchez Angel

It was a very fulfilling experience. I went as a group with my sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. I assisted students by placing their belongings in carts which were then rolled to their dorms. I helped unload their belongings in their dorm room. I greeted students with a welcoming attitude to make them feel comfortable as they moved onto campus.

I was assigned for data collection. I would go up to each individuals car and check off their monthly cards or register them if they were first timers. I would then inform the ones in charge of the food boxes how many boxes of free food to put in each car. It was a nice time to be able to start the morning off by helping my fellow community members lighten the load of buying groceries. I truly enjoy participating in this service and will continue to attend!

This was my first time participating in a mobile food drive. It was nice to be able to help my community members out with things that can deeply impact them. I enjoyed being able to positively connect with them and find new ways to help my community. I helped with registering new people and informing them of the amazing work being done in providing food for families in need.

This opportunity allowed me to help my community out while also being able to practice taking a someone's blood pressure. Overall, it was an enjoyable event that allowed me to see first hand other ways we can help out in our community!
