Beare Garden Rescue is a 501(c)3 registered charity and licensed animal shelter located in Snow Hill, North Carolina. Our organization receives no government funding and operates entirely on individual donations and fundraising. Our mission is to rescue animals from pain, hunger, and abuse, and provide temporary shelter and care for unwanted cats and kittens as we help them find forever homes. We often accept animals who are injured, sick, or turned away by other shelters that are full or unable to help. We pull cats from high-kill shelters in our region, sometimes only hours before they would have been out of time and put down. Many of the cats in our care have suffered from human cruelty, neglect or abandonment by people who no longer wanted them. By acting as a resource and educating the community about issues pertaining to animals, we are working to break the cycle of over breeding of animals. By facilitating adoptions of homeless and neglected cats and kittens we are able to provide a short-term home for more unwanted or homeless cats and kittens.
