Want to register to vote? Not sure if you're registered to vote? Want to donate food and/or hygiene items for Purple Pantry? Well stop on by the Drive Thru Democracy event! The event will be located outside at the Main Student Center bus loop. Donations will be accepted to support ECU's Purple Pantry. If you bring 3-5 items off of Purple Pantry's suggested items, you will receive 1 hour of service through GivePulse.
Please note: Signing up via this event on GivePulse, does not mean you will volunteer to organize the event. Registering for the event lets organizers know that you plan to attend to register to vote, check your registration, OR drop donations off.
Suggested Items for Purple Pantry include:
- Canned meat
- Whole grain pasta
- Pasta sauce
- Peanut butter
- Hygiene items
- Household items
- Paper products
- Cereal
- Fruit cups
- Granola bars
- Crackers

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
